Detail of back of lace overskirt

I was fortunate to have enough of this high quality metallic floral lace on hand to complete this project. It was a beautiful foil for the glowing emerald-green of the silk satin, and I left it unlined so that the satin would be visible through the more open areas in the lace. The lace itself is very close in weight and drape to metallic laces used in the 1909-14 era. (Click on the picture to see even more detail).
