The lovely effect of the Decorative Sash, gown back.

The top of the Sash is tied into a bow that is the third decorative bow along the centre back of the lace Overbodice. The Decorative Sash -- a common feature in Edwardian gowns, not only provides a graceful touch to the back of the gown, but also has the practical purpose of partially masking the centre back skirt closure.
